About Me

As head of EloQ Communications, a Vietnam-based public relations (PR) and marketing agency, and I’m on a journey to rewrite the rules of the PR and communications industry. With more than ten years of experience, I understand the nerve of the business and am eager to bridge the gap between the quality that is expected and the quality that is being delivered and help our clients amplify their message in the Vietnam market. My expertise includes PR & marketing consultancy, crisis communications and strategic planning. I’m also actively participating in global PR and Communications associations and network to create a bridge between local PR practitioners and global colleagues to exchange ideas and best practices. My goal is to show the importance of public relations to the world and promote awareness and recognition of the PR industry in Vietnam.

BEING A COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST IN THE GLOBAL AGE

Each market in Southeast Asia has a set of unique traits and characteristics, and so does Vietnam. With a young population, quick adoption of new technology, and an increase in wealth, Vietnam is now a potential market for FDI. To those who are unfamiliar with Vietnam’s local culture, it’s my joy to help them identify who their target audience is, what their behaviors are, which channel would be best to communicate, and so on.

CHALLENGING THE BOUNDARIES OF KNOWLEDGE

Experience is valuable, but I also believe formal knowledge is the backbone to delivering successful PR campaigns. My research interest falls on crisis management in the social media landscape, intercultural communication, and new media communication. In 2019, I finished my doctoral degree in Communications at Bond University (Australia) with dissertations on social media use in crisis communications in Vietnam. I have since been serving as the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Public Relations and Communication at Van Lang University, Vietnam, overseeing thousands of inspired PR and communication students. My goal is to innovate the PR industry from its root – education!

SHARING VALUES TO THE COMMUNITY

I have the privilege to work closely with the Public Relations and Communications Association Asia Pacific (PRCA APAC) in their Regional Board and Qualifications Board to bring change and innovation to current PR practices in the region. These roles provide me with a formal mechanism to consult the industry’s most senior practitioners on the issues faced by PR and communications, and to produce helpful commentary, advice and best-practice guidance for PR professionals. I’m proud to be able to combine our global knowledge with local experience to mentor the younger PR generations and raise the standards for PR practices in the region.

My passion for the industry reminds me to bring the best values to clients and my fellow PR practitioners! If you need any support, feel free to drop me a line at clara@ly-le.info.
